Time to meet the Gwynne family
It is a real privilege to testify that our small family were all saved as children; Gareth at the age of eleven, Lindsay at the age of seven and most recently James only three.
God began to challenge us about full time service for Him, with Child Evangelism Fellowship®. In God's TIME we headed of to Kilchzimmer, the Leadership Training Institute® in Switzerland, and took the course during summer 2006.
When we returned home we began our year of practical training in the North East Down Area. We had many wonderful opportunities to put into practice all we learned at the institute plus gain many new skills. It was a blesséd TIME.
Our Bethel was confirmed to us as we considered the work to be done in County Armagh. This proposal of moving County and Home brought fear and worry but God overruled again through His word.
"Consider your ways. . . Fear not . . . I am with you, saith the LORD."
Haggai Ch 1 vs 7-13
Fear has given way to faith as we continue to labour for the Lord among the Children of County Armagh.
Take TIME to read our prayer letter and pray for the Children.
Praise...
• Praise God for a wonderful commencement to the summer ministries with an excellent 5 Day Club in Hamiltonsbawn. There were over 30 children gathered onto our lawn to listen to the Word of the Lord being taught. Pray for a move of the Spirit of God through the 5 Day club ministry in Armagh.
• Praise the Lord the "IGNITE" project has now got off the ground with over 100 little packs being distributed. We praise God for those who have been challenged already through this pack but pray that more of God's children would be challenged to Pray, Give and Go
• Praise the Lord for a well organised and well attended Correspondence Course prize day with about 85 children completing various courses, throughout the year, enabling them to collect their certificate and shield. The CWU Hall in Portadown was well filled with both children and adults. Pray for a change in the lives of the children.
• Praise the Lord for the help given as Gareth spoke at a number of children day services. Hundreds of people heard, very clearly, the Gospel message imploring children and parents to "Turn from Sin to God through the Lord Jesus Christ; the only way of Salvation."
Prayer...
• The month of June is a month of meetings pray specifically for the promotional meetings planned this month in Derrycarne Mission Hall (1st June), Laurelvale Mission Hall (3rd June) and Lurgan Baptist Church (10th June). We will be talking about IGNITE - "Get on fire for God"
• Pray also for the many children's days services that are booked into the diary Richhill Methodist (6th June), Mullabrack , Kilcluney and Chapel of Ease (13th June) and Newtownhamilton Presbyterian (20th June). Pray for safety as we journey, strength both physical and spiritual and unction of the Spirit of God as Gareth speaks to all in the congregations.
• Pray for the Newtownhamilton 5 Day Clubs from 14th - 18th June. Our first club will be in Meadowvale and the second of the evening will be at Dungormley. Pray as we work along with the local Presbyterian Church that there will be many children reached through the word of God and filtered into the church especially through the special fun day we are running on Saturday 19th June on their behalf.
• Pray also for the Portadown 5 Day Clubs which will commence on 21st - 25th June. These clubs will be held in Churchill Park and Ballyoran. Pray for our little team of volunteers consisting of Ruth Lavery, Philip Livingston and Karissa Smith.
A Trainee’s Thoughts...
My time here in Armagh has been very rewarding as God has stretched me through learning and teaching lessons in schools and 5-day clubs. Pray that God would continue to work within the hearts of the children. I will be participating in four different 5-day clubs this month doing the evangelistic lesson on Nicodemus; pray that I would draw out the spiritual truths and make them understandable for the children. Continue to pray for daily wisdom and unity with each co-worker and team that God places me with. I cannot stop praising the Lord for his faithfulness and blessing as I finish my time in Northern Ireland
